Strontium

Strontium (Sr) is an element that is very similar to calcium and is found just below it on the periodic table. In fact, because of its similarities, strontium is capable of replacing a small proportion of calcium in bone and teeth, adding strength to these tissues. Strontium also appears to draw extra calcium into the bone, increasing bone mineral density and reducing the effects of bone loss. A growing body of research suggests that strontium used in conjunction with calcium will provide better bone development than a calcium supplement alone, particularly for post-menopausal women.

Vitamin D

It has been reported that strontium may interfere with vitamin D metabolism and consequently lower levels in the body. We have included 1000 IU of vitamin D to counteract this potential and to possibly aid in calcium uptake as well.

Manganese & Copper

Both of these minerals are generally deficient in a western diet. One report stated that 75% of people do not achieve the RDA for copper. Science has shined a light on these two minerals only recently. They are both involved in bone cartilage, bone collagen, and bone mineralization.

Strontium + has been formulated as a companion to EasyCal Bone Builder. Copper and manganese are not in the Bone Builder formula therefore inclusion within the Strontium + formula will result in broader more complete bone rebuilding system.

Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCT)

MCTs provide a distinct advantage for people wanting to ensure optimal absorption of their vitamin D supplement. MCTs are absorbed passively from the gut requiring no energy, enzymes, or bile to be absorbed. Compared to Long Chain Triglycerides, which must be absorbed via the lymphatic system, MCTs are absorbed directly from the G.I. tract into the portal vein by passing the slower lymphatic absorption path of LCT. Thus, improving the absorption of Vitamin D.
